Couple Chooses to Live Life Rather Than Hold on to Keepsakes

When Linda and Dick Omohundro decided to move to Erickson's Hickory Chase community outside Columbus, Ohio they realized they would need to downsize. Before the couple's garage sale, Mrs. Omohundro sent an SOS to Suzy's Helping Hands, a local organizing firm recommended by Albertson.

It was the right decision. "What would have taken me a week took a day with the organizer's help," says Omohundro. Omohundro was able to corral her pianos and many of her cows.

The organizer helped disperse several loads of garage sale leftovers to churches and Goodwill and helped Omohundro with the den: sorting, packing boxes for Hickory Chase, and carting out boxes of books for donation. "Nearly an entire wall in the den was books-now it's empty," says Mrs. Omohundro. "And I really like looking at the garage. It's clean!"

I came home to find my computer all put together so neatly and nicely. I honestly never would have thought of putting it together the way you did. Just shows the need for other hands and minds in a project!

I wanted to thank you for all you've done and for convincing me to do new things with our space (some that I thought I didn't want to do). Because I am loving the way things are looking and can finally utilize our basement and office.

Anyway, you're a great motivator and your work is fantastic. Thanks for hanging in there with me.

Suzy recognizes and responds with sensitivity to different tastes and opinions. With energy and excitement she manages to create order, balance and beauty out of chaos and confusion. If you know Suzy as I know Suzy, Oh, what a gal! She can do it like nobody else, with grace and joy.

Cheerful Suzy is a hard worker who has really done a fantastic job of helping us weed each room in our house. She even carts everything away for you - wherever it might go. She is a delight to work with on wardrobe weeding . . . we couldn't do it without her. Think of how we're saving our children from having to go through all this stuff. Do it gradually - not all at once.

Having you help us with our move was indeed a pleasure. Your work is excellent and you go about it so quietly and efficiently. Jack and I worked with Suzy today clearing out more remains in our home.
